Chores.  They never seem to end, do they?  If not for chores, I could sure get a LOT more done on this website!  And it would certainly make day to day life more enjoyable!
I keep thinking, “well, maybe my eldest (3) is ready to start pulling some of the weight around here.  For the most part, all I’ve had her do up until now is put away her laundry and pick toys up off the floor.  But 4 is just around the corner, and it seems between her and my 2 year old son, the mess just keeps multiplying – even when we’re not home!
I had made several homesteading posts before, but I think it’s time for a new spin.  How about restoring sanity to the household?  How do we make time for all the fun herbal projects I keep posting about, when the dishes are piled in the sink, and dinner has to be started?  And here’s my answer!

A wonderful friend of mine, Alina Joy Dubois, has made an amazing E-book, called “Easy Peasy Chores: An Easy-To-Use Chore System That Brings JOY Back Into Family Chores!”  Now, many of you don’t know Alina, but I have got to respect any organizational advice she has to give, because if you think you’re busy, this lady is literally ten-times that!
First of all, Alina Joy runs a farm.  Yep, a farm.  Can you imagine how much work that entails??  She has 3 beautiful children, which she homeschools.  She also has a house to run, blogs to write, e-books to create, Bible studies, volunteer work – oh yes, and dinner to make every night.  Ok, are we talking about one person here, or 10??  So like I said, when she offered to let me read her e-book, I jumped.  If anyone knows anything about organization and time management, it’s her!!
Want to learn more about Alina Joy and her wonderful farm?  Visit them on!

First, I was worried “do I have time to even read this e-book?”  Wow, yes, I’m that overwhelmed right now.  But it really was a quick read, and SO so enjoyable!  But what about the content?  Here’s what I thought:

Initial reaction – WOW. When I first began to read this book, I had hesitation for the mere fact that my children were so young. I thought, “what could they really do to help?” But quickly, I realized that this book was not only applicable to children of all ages, but that it covered EVERYTHING I could possibly think of! I knew certain chores would be covered, such as picking up toys, or getting ready for bed. What I didn’t expect was all else in between! Things like cleaning out the car seat, or wiping the tops of the fridge. Talk about an all inclusive chore book! And I absolutely love the idea of using the eye catching charts, which are sure to please the kids.
What do I like best about this e-book? The fact that Alina Joy obviously knows enough about running a smooth household – and about appealing to children’s creativity, to make this a system that actually works! This e-book is a MUST for all Moms trying to keep a clean house, without struggling with the kids to help! It teaches responsibility, and appreciation for everything Moms and Dads do as well, because visually, they can see their chores compared to the adults’. The reward system is visually stimulating to the children as well, supporting their desire for positive feedback and giving them an attainable goal.
I am very anxious to begin the Easy Peasy Chore System, and I am so grateful for the time and care that went into this detailed e-book!
Another bonus to mention, is that Alina Joy also has a “Homeschool” edition!  I am in organizational Heaven right now..

I would love to win this! I have a difficult time putting my expectations on paper so that the children have something they can see, manipulate and thus be held accountable for— that is easy for both mom and child to see and use.

I don’t have a chore routine and my house shows it. I’d also like ideas for getting children involved early at young ages.
